Best of the Bar™ was founded by lawyers concerned with the lack of transparency and objective standards that other recognition organizations use to rate attorneys. Although the American public relies on rating organizations to seek out the “best” lawyer to represent them, it seems these days that any lawyer, regardless of his/her skill, who is willing to pay for advertising can be anointed as a superstar, a 10.0 lawyer, or even jump to the top of any list by purchasing a "sponsored" listing.

Best of the Bar™ is not one of those organizations.

 

Best of the Bar™ Membership is not determined by a popularity contest or a “Blue Ribbon Panel” that can permit discretionary membership. Membership is not tied to the purchase of advertising. We do not assign letters, stars, or numbers based on mysterious computer algorithms or how many colleagues or clients can be persuaded to write positive reviews. The only qualifications are proven results.

Only attorneys who have achieved an independently verified verdict or settlement that is within the Top 100 in their state or nationwide are qualified to be ranked among the Best of the Bar™.
